Helen "Charlene" Copeland Cox passed away Sept. 10, 2018.
She was born Oct. 29, 1927, in Nashville, Ark., to Shirley Franklin and Ollie Mae (Lamb) Copeland. She was a retired homemaker and a member of Southwest Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters Linda (Jim) Jester, of North Little Rock, and Jeannie Goforth, of Sherwood; grandsons Jonathan Brizendine (Missa), of Mayflower, and Jason Cox, of Hot Springs; granddaughters Cynthia Jester and Suzanne Brizendine, both of Sherwood, four great-grandsons; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Patsy Bennett, of Nashville, Ark.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 72 years, Roy Cox; son, Kenneth Cox; grandson, Derek Jester; brother, Gene Copeland; and sisters, Mary Dell Copeland, Dessie Beene and Ruby Mitchell.
Graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Crestview Memorial Park with Brother J.D. Hooper officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
