BELLA VISTA — John Joseph Spisak Jr., 81, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. He was born on April 7, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, to John Joseph Spisak and Mary Telichka Spisak.

He was raised and educated in Cleveland, Ohio. He served during the Korean conflict in the U.S. Marine Corps. John married Nancy Toth on May 11, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was employed as a metallurgist in Cleveland and later as an engineer for various hotels in Albuquerque, N.M. They retired and moved to Bella Vista, Ark., in 1999.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lillian Renn and Dolores Naimy.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Spisak of Bella Vista, Ark.; three daughters, Debbie McDevitt (Ron) of Bella Vista, Ark., Donna Turner (Randy) of Albuquerque, N.M., Dorrie Giangola (Mike) of Albuquerque, N.M.; one brother, James Spisak of Ohio; two sisters, Mary Yehoda of Ohio, Betty Nickels of Ohio; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held. Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
