SPRINGDALE — Earl Wayne Couch, 75, of Springdale died Sept. 20, 2007, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born in Health (Brannon Mountain community) to Charley and Rosie Brannon Couch. He was a retired cattle ranch foreman for Jones Farms in Springdale which is now Har-Ber Meadows subdivision. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and an Army veteran. He enjoyed archery, fox hunting, fishing and hunting and his pet donkeys.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Joyce Webb Couch, to whom he married Aug. 16, 1962, two brothers, Raymond and Warren Couch.
He is survived by three sons, Jimmie Couch and wife Lana of Huntsville, Bob Downum and wife Sandra of Springdale and Randy Downum and wife Denise of Sedalia, Mo.; four sisters, Hester Schuster of Springdale, Helen Wood and Bernice Durning, both of Fayetteville, Charlene Barron of Springdale; five granddaughters, Leigh Ann Mathews, Whitney Downum, Paige Downum, Jennifer Couch and Breana Couch; two great-grandchildren, Blake Mathews and Piper Mathews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Guy Durkee officiating. Burial will be in Elm Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at Sisco Chapel in Springdale. The family will be present from 4 to 6 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Gary Canup, Mike Baker, Billy Trotter, Randy Slaughter, Dean Mathews and Jeff Barron.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Fitzgerald, J.D. Snow, Don McDonald, Harold Barron, Junior Hook, Bill McCollough, Bobby Eldridge, Carroll Crisler, Gordon Slaughter and Delbert Baker.
Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, 72762.
