James Austin Johnson, 71 of Wilmar passed away October 4, 2013 at his home. He was born May 13, 1943 to the John and Effie Shorter Johnson. In 1998 he was united in marriage to the late Bennie Johnson and was also preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, three brothers, John (Evelyn) Johnson, George (Evora) Johnson, and Lawrence Johnson and one sister, Frankie Johnson all of Wilmar. Although he had no biological children of his own he had eight step-children; numerous nieces, nephews and others that he treated as his own.
