Prussian Army
Battle of Waterloo
February 2, 1795 - July 25, 1849
Henry Bushmiaer was born in Germany and served in the Prussian army when he was young, he was present at the battle of Waterloo and the capture of Paris. Some years afterward he became a government official.
In October 1847 he and his family immigrated to the United States and in the spring of 1848 arrived in Van Buren. They soon after settled in Kibler where he cleared and cultivated land for farming.
He was married to Margaret Schunky, also of Germany and the father of five children.
He was a member of the German Lutheran Church.
He passed from this life in 1849.
