Jack D. Meadors, 83, of Fayetteville died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in an area hospital.
He was born June 12, 1921, in Dean Springs, the son of Boe and Lema Cole Meadors.
Jack and his brother Buddy Meadors founded J&B Auto in Prairie Grove in 1957. They sold the business in 1986 and Jack continued to work part-time until 2000. He was an Army Signal Corps veteran as a radio operator and served during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the American Legion and a charter member of the North Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Sangster Meadors; a brother, Buddy Meadors and his wife Ruth of Dean Springs; and sisters-in-law Modell Pair and her husband Paul W. of Fort Smith and Pauline Rogers and her husband Ralph, all of Fort Smith. He is also survived by six nephews, Nick Meadors and wife Lynda and Mike Meadors and his wife Pat, all of Alma, John Sangster and wife Diane of Salem, Ore., Herschel Sangster and wife Mary Ann of Keizer, Ore., Murphy Pair and wife Carol of Prairie Grove and Randy Rogers and wife Terri of Eureka Springs; one niece, Karan Smith and husband James of Alma; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be noon Monday at North Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville with John Gay officiating.
Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. at Bolton cemetery in Dean Springs under the direction of Moore’s Chapel of Fayetteville.
Visitation without the family present will be 2 to 6 p.m. today at Moore’s Chapel.

Joy Meadors, 88 a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away April 14, 2010 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
She was born October 31, 1921 near Alma, Arkansas, the daughter of Charley Murphy and Lily Walcie Magness Sangester.


Joy grew up in the Dean Springs Community near Alma, Arkansas.

She was a member of the North Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Meadors, two brothers, Herschel Sangster, and Jessie Sangster; one sister, Modell Pair.

Survivors include one sister, Pauline Rogers and her husband Ralph of Fort Smith, Arkansas; one brother-in-law, Paul Pair of Fort Smith, Arkansas; six nephews, Murphy Pair of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, John and Herschel Sangster, of Salem, Oregon, Randy Rogers, of Colorado, Nick and Mike Meadors of Alma, Arkansas; one niece, Karan Smith of Alma, Arkansas; four special friends, Don and Idella Courtright, Lavada West, and Sarge West. Numerous great nieces and nephews

Funeral Service was held Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Luginbuel Chapel Prairie Grove.

A grave side was held at the Bolton Cemetery in the Dean Springs Community.
