Bennie W. Huff was born July 21,1938 and passed away January 30, 2022 at age 83 at home with his family by his side. His parents were Bennie and Lucille Huff, he was the second child of seven children. His father was a farmer and he grew up helping on the farm, what he disliked the most was the cottonfield. After he graduated school he joined the National Guard. In 1958 he met June Shaw at a bunking party, they were married May 6, 1959. In 1960, he enlisted in the Army, while in the Army their first two children were born, Bennie Huff II and Kathleen Elizabeth. After he was discharged from the Army, he returned home to Arkansas where he worked in different car dealerships in the parts department. In 1966 they had their third child, Allen Huff and fourth child in ‘70, Melissa Lynette. In 1986 he started driving for ABF driving for them for twenty years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Lucille Huff and a brother, Steve Huff.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, June Shaw Huff; four children, Bennie Huff (Tammy) of North Little Rock, Kathleen Brandon (Tony) of Beebe, Allen Huff (Amy) of Prattsville, and Melissa Miller (Wayne) of Cabot; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; as well as five sisters.
Visitation will be 1 until 2 p.m. Wednesday February 2, 2022 at Union Valley Baptist Church in Beebe. Funeral services follow at 2:00 p.m. with burial following at Weir Cemetery.
