Jimmy Ray McCarroll, 60 of Portia; died April 1, 2022, in the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born January 28, 1962, in Walnut Ridge; son of the late, Edward Lee and Syble Marie Hilburn McCarroll. He worked on the Riverboats, at the SKIL factory, and at the Portia Gin. He enjoyed shooting his guns and cheering for Arkansas Razorbacks.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Kathryn Sue Tretenburg; and two nephews, Shawn Edward and Nicholas Dailey McCarroll.

Survivors include his son, Tyler (Marissa) McCarroll of Pocahontas; three grandchildren, Avery, Allie, and Asher McCarroll; one sister, Brenda (Rob) McDaniel of Jonesboro; and two brothers, Mitchell McCarroll of Bono, and Billy (Julie) McCarroll of North Little Rock; and many other relatives and friends.

Interment of his cremains will be Friday, April 8, 2022, at 11 A.M. in the Oak Forrest Cemetery in Black Rock with Bro. Harold Russell officiating.
