Brooks Craven, a native of Prescott, Nevada County, Arkansas passed away July 1, 1977 in a Prescott hospital. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mattie Craven; four children; James Craven, William H. Craven, and Mrs. Florence Evans, all of Prescott, Mrs. Bama Vanhook of St. Louis, MO; one sister, Mrs. Lenora Watson of Cal-Verda, California; seventeen grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. (Hope Star - July 6, 1977)
