J.D. Drummond, 76, of Elkins, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 14, 2014 while at home and in the presence of his loving family.
He was born to Joseph Barney Drummond and Lucy Ellen Wilson Drummond on October 28, 1938 in Bidville, AR.

He was married to Wanda Gabbard Drummond on October 31, 1960. He was a carpenter and a farmer for over 50 years. He was a member of Living Hope Assembly in Elkins, AR.

J.D. was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lucy Drummond; and by two brothers, Billy Joe Drummond and Vernon Drummond, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda of the home; four daughters, Terri White of Elkins, Tammy Brannan of Elkins, Tracy Brannan of Centerton, and Tina Hart of Elkins; and a nephew, Vernon Drummond, Jr. of Fort Smith who lived with them for many years. He has seven grandsons; one granddaughter; and ten great- grandchildren. He has two brothers, Louie Drummond of Bidville and Teddy Drummond of Noel, MO.; four sisters, Evelyn Parker of Springdale, Christine Edwards of Knoxville, AR., Louise Downum of Springdale and Shirley Burnett of Alix, AR.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Beard’s Chapel.

Funeral services will be 10 A.M. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Living Hope Assembly in Elkins with Loy David Mashburn officiating. Interment will follow in Bidville Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
