April 10, 1947 - January 20, 2013
Richard "Dick" Pratchard, 65, of Hot Springs passed away at his home on January 20, 2013. Dick was born on April 10, 1947 in Cincinnati, OH to Richard and Helen (Oliver) Pratchard . He is preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years Dona, two sons: Richard (Carrie) of Hot Springs and Eric of Tulsa, OK, three grandchildren Karly, Scott (Hot Springs, AR) and R.J. (Michigan), his mother; Helen and two sisters; Judith (Don) Neiheisel and Lisa Troxel (Keith Sumey); all of Cincinnati, OH.
Before moving to Hot Springs Dick spent over 30 years in Petoskey, MI where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. He was very passionate about Ohio State Football and whatever football team his grandson played on. Dick was a member of First Baptist Church and the Glenwood and Pellston Masonic Lodges.
Pallbearers will include Richard Pratchard, Eric Pratchard, Scott Pratchard, Jerry Pate, Greg Pate and Don Neiheisel.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
Visitation will be held Thursday January 24,2013 at Crossgate Church from noon to 2 p.m. with funeral service to follow in the Community Room beginning at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mike Pounders officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Cemetery following the service.
