*When Joseph M Holden was born on May 4, 1850, in Whitfield, Georgia, his father, Francis, was 22 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 20. He married Mary Elizabeth in 1875 in Georgia. He died on April 14, 1940, in White, Arkansas, at the age of 86, and was buried in Searcy, Arkansas.
