September 1, 1935 - June 11, 2019
Alice E. Thacker, 83, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away June 11, 2019. She was born September 1, 1935, in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, to John and Katherine (Schumacher) Boyd. Alice worked as a Registered Nurse (BSN RN) in Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. She received many scholarships and acknowledgements throughout her nursing career as well as being inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in 1996.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Lawrence Boyd.
Survivors include son, Dan Ostgard; daughter, Debra Ostgard; daughter-in-law, Chih-Lan Ostgard-Ho; grandchildren, Dena Braith (Derek), Daryl Dilts, Daniela Dilts, Deanna Dilts, Domenique Dilts, Dedra Dilts; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Nathaniel, and Abigail.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
A celebration of Alice’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery.
