Gloria Jean Strayhorn, 62, of McRae, Arkansas, was born January 20, 1946, at Searcy, Arkansas, to Jack and Helen Manning Crisco, and she died Wednesday, January 30, 2008. She was retired from Eaton Enterprises in Searcy, and was a member of Floyd First Baptist Church. She was loved and will be missed by all. Gloria is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Joe Strayhorn of McRae; one daughter, Paula Casteen and husband, Bland of Burkburnett, Texas; two grandchildren, Joseph and Brittiny Casteen; one brother, Kenneth Strayhorn; and one sister, Beth Strayhorn; both of McRae. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Weir Cemetery. www.westbrookfuneralhome.com

Charlie "Joe" Strayhorn, 70, of McRae, Arkansas, was born November 14, 1942 at McRae, Arkansas to Ollie and Helen (McAfee) Strayhorn, and he died Friday, February 22, 2013. He was a Baptist and loved to hunt and fish more than anything. Joe is survived by his daughter, Paula Casteen and husband Bland; grandson Joseph Casteen and wife Elizabeth; granddaughter Brittiny Casteen; great-granddaughter Ema Casteen; all of Burkburnett, Texas; his brother, Kenneth Strayhorn and wife Beth; sister Lela Strange; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria; and two brothers. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Home Care of Searcy for the wonderful care given to Joe. Memorials may be made to Hospice Home Care of Searcy, 106 S. Spring, Searcy, AR 72143. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Weir Cemetery. Arrangements by Westbrook, a Smith Family Funeral Home.
