Edith Francis McElroy, 88 of North Little Rock, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008. She was born June 26, 1919 in Leslie, Arkansas to the late Frank & Callie Johnson. Edith was a member of Northside Apostolic Church in Mayflower. She worked for Kelwood Sewing factory for many years and also helped raise three generations of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andy E. McElroy; two children, Helen Jo Price and James Lee McElroy; a brother, Troy Johnson; sisters, Lois Martin, Lucille Carrington, Lela McElroy, Gerthie Johnson, & Veva Robinson; grandchildren, Don Yancey and Johnny Lee McElroy.
Edith is survived by three sons, Andy McElroy, Jr. (Sherry) of North Little Rock; Johnny Lee McElroy (Brenda) of Greers Ferry, and Larry McElroy (Beverly) of Cabot.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Chapel of Moores Cabot Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Weir Cemetery in McRae, AR. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
