Rita Geraldine Stanek, 76, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed peacefully Tuesday, January 7, 2014. She was born June 27, 1937 in Adair, Missouri to the late Gerald and Marguerite (Quinn) Ferrie. Rita is preceded in death by her parents; and sister Mary Spanjers. She is survived by her husband, Jerome Joseph Stanek of Hot Springs, Arkansas; sons Jerome Joseph Stanek Jr., Dennis James Stanek (Laurel) and Bruce Edward Stanek; daughter Julie Ann Stanek; sister Donna Brawner; and grandchildren Camille and Alexandra. Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to “A Place for Mom – Alzheimers Association Group” at alz.org.
