Orvil Lee Gibson, 65, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by family Saturday March 22, 2014.

He was born March 10, 1949 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Ernest Virgle and Georgia (Standiford) Gibson.

Orvil was known as a soul winner for Jesus and his main focus was winning souls for the Lord. He always put Jesus and his family first. Orvil was a business owner and operator of Sunshine Auto Wholesale for many years. He also worked for the Hot Springs Police Department, Garland County Sheriff's Department and Criminal Investigation for many years. Orvil was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and one of his many passions was singing for the Lord.

Orvil is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Vernon Gibson, John Cannon Gibson and sister, Polly Hayes.

Survivors include his loving wife, Margaret Gibson; sons, Terry Lee Gibson (Brigitte), Bryan Cannon Gibson (Vanessa), Christopher Wade Gibson (Tiffany); daughter, Patricia LeAnne Gibson; grandchildren, Marcus Gibson, Jonathan Gibson, Austin Gibson, Haddison Gibson, Baylor Gibson, Christian Puckett, Audrey Puckett, Gabrielle Gibson, Brennan Cannon Gibson, Marissa Gibson, Kaitlyn Gibson, Joseph Philipp, Hayley Gibson, Blake Gibson, Abigayle Dampier, Dalton Dampier, Maggie-Rylee Dampier; many nieces, nephews, and friends; sisters, Mary Alice Hutzel (Loyd), Jerri Wilson (Glen), Jeannie Crockett; extended family, Lene Nyengaard of Europe, Rebecca F. Rizzardi of Brazil, Luisa Setaro of Brazil, Beatriz Quiroga Trapala of Mexico, Yuna Kim of South Korea and Itsumi Hashimoto of Japan.

Pallbearers will be Brennon Gibson, Blake Gibson, Dalton Dampier, Marcus Gibson, Jonathan Gibson, Austin Gibson, Larry Hunter, Joseph Philipp, and Clint Hunter.

Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Patel, Dr. Muldoon, Rusty Leavitt, Barry Wright, Cliff Caughman, Bro. Jeff Hill, Chaplain David Kenser, Ken Pennington, Phil Sells, Marvin Vaughter, Rick Jones, Bro. Keith Tarkington, Kenneth Jester, and John Gibson.

Special thanks to Arkansas Hospice, Arkansas Home and Health, and Genesis Cancer Center.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. George Vincent and Eric Capaci officiating.

Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
