Mahlon Grigsby, age 72, of Hot Springs, answered God's Call and entered into Heaven November 29, 2014.

He was born May 5, 1942 in Malvern, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by Boyce and Ruby Grigsby, Virginia and Wayne Watson; his brothers, Phillip Grigsby and David Stephens; and his sister, Kathy Phillips.

Mahlon loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He really enjoyed four wheeling with his brothers and friends on President's day. Mahlon loved his career as a banker and stayed with it for 40 years upon retirement. He was also a board member for NPCC for 14 years. He was so proud of our community college and everything that was accomplished for the students and faculty. Mahlon was also JP for 12 years. He also served on the Equalization Board for Garland County.

Mahlon is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Paula Grigsby; "his three girls", daughter, Cheryl Weatherford; granddaughters, Lindsey Weatherford (Fiancé, Brian Smith) and Makayla Weatherford; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Vicki Stephens, Vance and Terri Dobyns and Greg and Elisha Dobyns; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Betty and Chuck Ward, Glenda Walters, Gloria and Bill Haught, Jackie and Doug Bryan and Joyce Stephens; many nieces and nephews; also his beloved four legged, furry friend, Socks.

Mahlon will be forever missed and will be forever in our hearts.

A memorial service will be at 10:00AM, Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Ralph Ohm and Sally Carder officiating.

Visitation will be held starting at 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Honorary pallbearers will be, Dr. Fred Divers, Dr. Tim Webb, everyone at Genesis Cancer Center, Dr. Mogri, Dr. Maraboyina, Dr. Randy Hill and Nan Means.
