Velda Sue (Suzy) Moss, 77, of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home early Monday morning. Born May 14, 1937, she was a lifelong resident of Hot Springs, a devoted wife and mother, and throughout her journey made countless friends who will dearly miss her kind heart, warm smile and laughter. She was always ready to volunteer, play a game or head to the horse races or casino. Nothing gave her more pleasure than bragging about her grandkids or telling stories about their dog, Tucker. Those who knew Suzy will especially miss her honest opinions and the wink of her beautiful blue eyes. She is survived by Jim, her husband of 57 years; sister Dorothy Rogers; sons Randy and Mike; and grandchildren John, Jennifer, Austin, Kendall, C.J. and Hallie. She was preceded in death by mother Bertha McCoy and sister Betty Simmons. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. A service will be held Friday at noon at First United Methodist Church with Revs. David Wilson, Zach Roberts and John Miles officiating. Pallbearers will be the grandsons and nephews Rick and Tony Rogers of Little Rock. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Kevin Hale, Dr. Edward T. Warren, members of her bridge clubs, Presbyterian Church circle, breakfast club and birthday club, and her many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jackson House or the First United Methodist Church Open Arms Food Pantry.
