The patriarch of our family, James E. Pruett, 78, of Hot Springs, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 4, 2013. He was born June 18, 1935 in Beedeville, Arkansas to Raymond and Bessie Ellen (Crumley) Pruett. James was a successful business man for over 48 years. He was a member of First Lutheran Church. He is predeceased by his parents, brother, Herbert Pruitt and sisters, Shirley Lewis and Mary Dewitt. Loving survivors include his wife of almost 50 years, Sharon Pruett, of Hot Springs; daughter, Shelley Pruett, of Benton; Donna Freeman and her children, Karson and Jacob Freeman, of Little Rock; daughter, Gina Pruett and her children, Austin (Laken) Harrell, Kaylee and Carter Buth; of Hot Springs; great-grandson, Tryston Harrell; sisters, Barbara (Spunk) Engle, Betty Snow and Trish Capshaw. Also surviving are daughters, Linda (Dale) Cecil and Doris (Steve) Woods and their families. He will be dearly missed by his extended family and all who knew him. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Jonathan Beyer officiating. Pallbearers will be Austin Harrell, Doug Snow, Greg Dewitt, Ken Dewitt, Dana Schnabel, Derrick Schnabel and David Schnabel. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Conway, Carter Buth, Jacob Freeman, Dr. Mark Lefler, Dr. Fred Heinemann, and Mercy Cardiac Rehab nurses, Cherrie and Phyllis.
