William M. Moppin, 91, died Wednesday, January 15, in the Madison County Hospital. He was born Oct. 18, 1877 in Crawford County, Ark.
He is survived by a son, Matthew of Wesley; seven daughters, Mrs. Nancy White of Huntsville, Mrs. Sadie Lane, Mrs. Grace Krock, Mrs. Pearlie Wade and Mrs. Lucy Evans, all of Hindsville; Mrs. Cecilia Alderson of Pea Ridge and Mrs. Mary Jones of Estherville, Iowa; 51 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, at the Cottage Hill Church in Best Community with burial in Austin Cemetery under direction of Brashears Funeral Home.

MOPPIN, Maud - (from Best) Mrs. Maud Moppin was born Nov. 17, 1885, died April 29, 1932, age 46 years, 5 months, 12 days. She was married May 14, 1911 to Will Moppin. To this union was born ten children. The husband and eight of the children survive. She was a faithful member of the Free-will Baptist church at Cottage Hill from 1915 until death. She was buried in the Austin cemetery. She was a kind and loving mother with a good will. She leaves a vacant chair in our home which never can be filled.
