*When Sidney (Sid) Exum was born on February 21, 1885, in Arkansas, her father, William, was 30, and her mother, Julia, was 28. She married Melvin Finis Cranford and they had three children together. She then married Columbus David "Lum" Ross on April 7, 1919. She died on November 10, 1973, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 88.
