BENTONVILLE - Laura Leane Burgmeier, 31, of Bentonville, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. She was born Nov. 25, 1979, in Fayetteville, to Dr. Keith and Linda Fields-Oxford.
Laura was devoted to the care of her family and the importance of education. She graduated from Harding University in December 2010 with a B.A. in elementary education, where she was studying for her master's in special education.
She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was an active member of the alumni board of the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Benton County. She married James William Burgmeier on July 24, 2010, in Rogers.
She is survived by her husband, James Burgmeier of the home; two children, Warren and Natalie Eidson, also of the home; her parents, Dr. Keith and Linda Oxford of Rogers; twin brother, Kyle Oxford of Goshen; one sister, Sarah Gretzmier of Rogers; and grandparents, William J. and Virginia Fields of Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Springdale, with Harry Hamilton officiating. Burial will be at Son's Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home; online guest book at www.heritageofnwa.com.
