OAK PARK, Calif. — John L. Barrick, 67, of Oak Park, Calif., formerly of Alma, died Thursday, April 29, 2004, in Thousand Oaks, Calif. He was a retired minister for the Mulberry First Free Will Baptist Church, was former pastor of Kibler Free Will Baptist Church, and a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mulberry First Free Will Baptist Church with burial at Vaught Cemetery near Mountainburg under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; a daughter, Deborah Macedo of Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, Steven Barrick of Wilsonville, Ore.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Walter Freeman, Bart Sills, Max Gentry, Loyd Shores, Jerry Bromley and Bruce Long.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
