Mary R. Acklin Edwards was born March 17, 1829 in Franklin County, TN the daughter of Alexander Acklin and Mary Lee Acklin. She married M.R. Edwards in MS about 1852 and had 5 children: M.R. Edwards, Jr., Mary Ann Edwards, Dabney Edwards, Alexander Edwards, and Martha Susan Edwards. She moved from MS to TN to AL, eventually settling in White County, Arkansas. She died February 24, 1908. Her son, M.R. Edwards, Jr. and daughter, Mary Ann "Mollie" Edwards, are buried next to her.
