*When William Cleveland Watterson was born in May 1861 in DeSoto, Mississippi, his father, Absolom, was 46 and his mother, Rachael, was 25. He married Ida Madore Williams on December 18, 1887, in Tate, Mississippi. They had ten children in 16 years. He died in 1911 in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 50, and was buried there.
When Ida Madore Williams was born in December 1869 in DeSoto, Mississippi, her father, Redmond, was 28, and her mother, Sarah, was 35. She married William Cleveland Watterson and they had ten children together. She also had one son with John Newton Mccray. She died on November 17, 1954, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 85, and was buried in Searcy, Arkansas.
