*Obituary
Farris Eudell Holliman, 82, went to be with the Lord on December 24, 2021 at his home in Guy, Arkansas. Farris, the oldest child of John Hersel Holliman and Zoe Nellie (Fulton) Holliman, was born at home in Cleburne County on September 9, 1939.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Alice Jean Holliman also of Guy. One son, Shane Holliman and a grandson Kaleb Holliman. He leaves behind one daughter Brenda Holliman. One son, Timothy Holliman, preceded him in death. He leaves behind two step-sons: Micheal and Carl West, other grandchildren: Lauren Zack, Haley and Nolan and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers: Leon, Corlis, Altis, and Garry Holliman and one sister, Linda Sue Johnson as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends.
Farris had a great love for his family and many friends. He never met a stranger and always brought a smile to everyone he met.
He worked at multiple job positions during his life including disc jockey, music salesman, and truck driver.
Farris' greatest enjoyment came from his love of music and playing the guitar. Farris started strumming on a Gene Autry guitar at the age of 12. He spent many hours picking with friends and family. He enjoyed teaching his nephew Chris to play guitar as well. Farris favorite music consisted of classic country and country gospel. When we hear one of those old sweet songs we will be reminded of his memory which will forever be engraved upon our hearts.
Visitation will be held at 10:00am on Friday, January 21, 2022, with funeral services beginning at 11:00am at Olmstead Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
