1846 - 1910
*When John W. Speights was born on February 6, 1846, in Fayette, Georgia, his father, James, was 24 and his mother, Lavinah, was 21. He married Mary Glower on November 28, 1868, in his hometown. They had eight children in 19 years. He died on July 20, 1910, in White, Arkansas, at the age of 64, and was buried in Rose Bud, Arkansas.
