Naomi Kathryn Parker, 86, of Ozark, Arkansas died Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a cook at Lake Hamilton High School in the 70’s, a homemaker, member of WMU and First Baptist Church of Ozark; directed music at Sherwood Baptist in Jonesmill, played piano for the churches she attended. She was a mother to any child that needed her, and her home was always open to the children’s friends. She was born March 24, 1934 in Hartford, Arkansas to J.A. and Minnie Cunningham McClung. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Parker and a brother, Johnny McClung; and nephew Jonathan Parker.
She is survived by three sons, Michael Parker and wife Debbie Wilson of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Robert Parker and wife Melissa of Mountain Pine, Arkansas, and Bill Parker of Fort Smith, Arkansas; five daughters, Rebecca Parker and Sherrel Parker McMahand both of Fort Smith, Christy Watkins and husband J.P. of Port Aransas, Texas, Misty Parker of Hot Springs, and Shae Kingsley of Washington State; three sisters, Wanda Millican of Rudy, Arkansas, Wilma Yocum of Fort Smith, and Thelma Gibson of Van Buren, Arkansas; a brother, Paul McClung and wife Linda of Sherwood, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Crystal, Tony, Sara, Alicia, Jennifer and Lindsey; thirteen great grandchildren, Thoven, Gaige, Caleb, Colt, Hadleigh, Dillon, James, Thomas, Aires, Nicky, Justin, Matthew, and Haley; two great great grandchildren, Hazel and Jolene; numerous nieces and nephews; other survivors, Mary Hattabaugh, Ray and Diane Parker, Sharon Metcalf Jones, Velda Sallis, and numerous family members in Missouri.
Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday June 6, 2020 at Gar Creek Cemetery with Brother Billy Cheshir under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark.
Open visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday, June 5th at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial St. in Ozark.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Tony Makhoul, Justin Harper, Matthew Harper, J.P. Watkins, and Rich Gaston.
