*When Robert Willis Cotton was born on March 16, 1898, in Greenbrier, Arkansas, his father, Samuel, was 29 and his mother, Louisiana, was 29. He married Frances Elizabeth "Lizzie" Sawrie on May 12, 1918, in Conway, Arkansas. They had three children during their marriage. He died on October 27, 1973, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 75.
