Charles Edward Coleman, 80, of Mesquite, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at his residence.
He was born July 27, 1938 in Ventura, Calif., the son of Robert M. Coleman and Hilda E. Street Coleman. He attended Santa Paula, Calif., schools.
He married Shirley Corl in 1958. They moved to Arkansas in 1972. They divorced in 1976. He married Pamela Fiore in 1979. They made their home in Carson City, Nev. Following her death, he came to Texas in 2011.
During his lifetime he worked in restaurant and apartment management. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Ventura County Fire Department, a member of the Fillmore Police Department auxiliary and active as an assistant leader in Boy Scouts of America in Fillmore, Calif. He served as a seasonal firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service in Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert M. and Hilda E. Coleman, his wife, Pam Coleman, and his brother Bobbie Coleman.
Following cremation, he will be buried at Chapel Hill Cemetery in DeQueen, Ark. with his father.
No memorial service is planned.
