Lois O. McCann, the daughter of Raymond Baker and Lucille Griffin Baker was born in Rose Bud, Arkansas on August 24, 1936 and passed away at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas on August 3, 2013 at the age of 76 years.
Lois was a member of the Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano and writing songs. She was an accomplished and published songwriter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Lucille Baker,; her husband, Emerson Clayton McCann Jr. and a son E.C.(Clayton) McCann III.
Survivors are her children, Lucy Remsing (Larry) of Texas, Eddie McCann (Vanessa) of Heber Springs, and Jeff (Rachell) of Quitman; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at St. Mary's Chapel on Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. and funeral service will be held Tuesday 10:00 A.M., with Rev. H.R. Neal officiating and burial following at St. Mary's Cemetery.
