Mary Freda Winter, 93, of Conway died Monday, March 30, 2009. She was born Oct. 30, 1915, in the Republican Community a daughter of the late William Edward and Rhoda Marguerite (Norwood) Oliver. Winter was also preceded in death by sons, Harley Edward and Billy Darrell Winter; brothers, Seth and Winfred Oliver; and two sisters, Arlene Wharton and Vonda Satterwhite.

Mary was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Conway and was retired from International Shoe Factory.

She is survived by grandchildren, Sandy Biggs of Tucson, Ariz., Randall Winter, Tamara Hoelzeman both of Conway, Kim Gomez of California City, Calif.; two sisters, Helen Brannon and Frances Jordan; seven great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with Brother Randy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway. 327-7727.

*When Mary Freda Oliver was born on October 30, 1915, in Union City, Arkansas, her father, William, was 34, and her mother, Rhoda, was 28. She married Harley Otis Winter on January 27, 1934, in Faulkner, Arkansas. She died on March 30, 2009, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 93, and was buried there.
