Joye Shirrell Noggle
of Conway, AR

February 23, 1939 - February 23, 2022

Joye Shirrell Noggle, of Conway, went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband on February 23, 2022, the morning of her 83rd birthday. Shirrell was the only child of Jesse and Erma Arnold, of Romance, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 63 years, Kellar Noggle.

Sherrill is survived by her sons, Randy of Hot Springs National Park and Richard Kerry of Lawrence, Kansas; a grandson, Casey Noggle; a great-grandson, Blayne Noggle; two great-granddaughters, Mikayla and Kanzaida; one great-great granddaughter and great-great grandson and other family and friends.

Shirrell graduated from Mount Vernon High School and attended college at ASU-Beebe. In 1959 she married Kellar Noggle, her high school sweetheart, beginning a long happy life together. They lived in Des Arc, Saint Charles, and Fayetteville before settling near Shirrell's parents in Romance, where they spent more than 40 years. Much of their life in Romance was spent in the presence of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom Shirrell loved completely.

For 19 of these years, Shirrell worked as a teacher's aide at Mount Vernon and Enola Elementary schools. She was dedicated to the children and they loved her in return.
Kellar's job in education administration with the AAEA allowed Shirrell the opportunity to travel with him all over the country. She enjoyed these trips but was always most content at home in Romance, where she was devoted to her family, friends, and church family of Mount Vernon Baptist, which she faithfully attended for more than four decades.

In her later years, Shirrell suffered from dementia, which eventually took many of her precious memories but never touched her kind and gentle spirit. Her husband was her unceasing full-time caregiver until his passing in December 2021. Shirrell never wanted to be apart from the love of her life, and her passing so soon after reveals the strength of their bond. She will be dearly missed by her family and all whose lives were touched by her sweet spirit.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home at 2:00PM. Visitation will be at 1:00PM, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Rosebud, Arkansas.

At the family's request, masks will be worn at visitation and the service, at all times.
