Emma Kathryn "Kathy" Wells, 50, resident of the Joy Community, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008.
Mrs. Wells was born May 24, 1957 in North Little Rock, the daughter of Durwood and Opal Wells. She retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 25 years of service and was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Joy.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Carroll Wells; five children, Catie and Becca Wells of the home, Denise Wells of Cabot, Chris Wells of Searcy, and Chad Wells of Cabot; her mother, Opal Wells of Clinton; sister, Paula Slack of Clinton; brothers, Teddy Shaffer of North Little Rock, Durwood Wells, Jr. of Mayflower, Tommy Wells of Clinton; five grandchildren, Marian, Tyler, Colby, Reagan and Hunter Wells; four nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, Durwood Wells, Sr. and one brother, John Wells.
