Virginia B Cantrell, 68, of Searcy, Arkansas, died on Monday, November 1, 2010, following a brief illness. Virginia was born to Hugh and Audrie Reecer Cantrell, in El Dorado, grew up in Stephens, taught elementary school in Marion and Benton, and worked at Columbia Artists Management in New York City. Admitted to the Arkansas State Bar in 1982, she represented children's interests for many years as an attorney for the Department of Social Services.
Virginia is survived by her sister Amanda Carol Cantrell of Durham, North Carolina, one daughter Bobbi Coleman, and three cherished granddaughters, Lindsey, Laura, and Lezly Coleman.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Judsonia, on Thursday, November 4, at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. at the church, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Toys for Tots campaign, or a children's charity of one's own choice.
