*When Samuel Hensley Latture was born on October 23, 1840, in Scott, Virginia, his father, Andrew, was 25 and his mother, Lucinda, was 26. He was married four times and had two sons and seven daughters. He died on February 22, 1922, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 81.
