*When Gertrude Irene Hollingshead was born on July 4, 1898, in Little Rock, Arkansas, her father, James, was 25, and her mother, Pricey, was 20. She married Thomas William Hollingshead on October 7, 1917. They had nine children in 11 years. She died on July 6, 1938, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 40.
