*Obituary

Jerry Latture, 76, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born January 1, 1940, in Beebe, Arkansas to JC and Undine (McKay) Latture and passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016.

Jerry is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, three daughters, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, sister and two nephews.

Jerry was proud to have served his country with United States Army during the Korean Conflict and Cuban Missile Crisis. During this time he met and married Linda. After his service, they moved to Ohio, where he graduated from General Motors Institute, and worked for General Motors. Later, he returned home to the family farm he so loved. Here, he worked for and retired from Remington Arms, of Lonoke, Arkansas. After retirement, Jerry worked for a number of years as a security guard for Stephens, Inc.

Jerry was one of the very best dads and grandpas in the world. Two things that Jerry was known for were his tall stature, and his beautiful blue laughing eyes. They would make the world happy when he crinkled up those eyes and smiled. Heaven has gained a wonderful angel.

He was preceded in death by his parents JC and Undine (McKay) Latture, brother-in-law, Johnny Dennis, and one nephew, Johnny Lee Dennis.

Family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 pm, Monday, January 25th at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be at 2 PM Tuesday, at Smith - Westbrook Chapel, with the burial following at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
