BELLA VISTA — Vivian Irene Shelby, 85, of Bella Vista died May 26, 2002, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. She was born Oct. 23, 1916, in Grove, Okla., to Carroll and Marie Hays. She moved to Bella Vista 30 years ago from Batesville. She was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church. She organized and arranged the Bella Vista Arts and Crafts Fair for more than 10 years. She was a member of the Bella Vista Arts Club, the Arts Guild and Bates Medical Center Arts Council. She arranged a gallery set-up and coordinated art classes for 20 years in Riordan Hall.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Clarence Shelby, to whom she was married 46 years; three nieces and one nephew.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Bella Vista Community Church with the Rev. Richard Lindman officiating.
Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
