Thurman "T. P." Barker, passed away April 18, 2007. He was born April 2, 1913 to Brad and Essie West Barker. He was a member of the Crosby Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by both his parents, Brad and Essie West Barker; his wife of 61 years, Lillie Ina Turner Barker; his sister, Sybil Barker Hughes; two brothers, Ray and Ernest Barker; and a great-grandson, Christopher Darbe.
He is survived by six children, Betty Jewell Everett of Searcy, Bobby Joe Barker of Parker, Indiana, Junior Barker, Etta Holden, Gerald Barker and Larry E. Barker, all of Searcy; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Arvle Barker of Searcy, J. M. Barker of Jacksonville, Florida and Billy Wayne Barker of Cabot; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, April 20, 2007 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Searcy-McEuen Chapel. Interment will follow at Gray Cemetery.
