Mrs. Elsie Rodgers Smith, 70, of Camden died Thursday in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Proctors Chapel with burial in Lakeside Cemetery. The family will be at 2004 Tracy Street. Mrs. Smith and her husband, the late Ray Smith, operated Smith Produce Stand in the Camark Community. She was a member of the East Camden Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Smith is survived by six sons, Donald Smith and Larry Smith of Elk City, Okla., Raymond Smith of Midland, Tex., Herschel Smith of Security. Colo., Lloyd Smith of Hot Springs and Ronald Smith of Sparkman; four daughters, Mrs. Marie Reimer of Corona, Calif., Mrs. Jean Castelman of Kermit, Tex., Mrs. Betty Jones of El Dorado and Mrs. Janes Hodges of Woodson; six brothers, Arthur Rogers and Clarence Rodgers of Camden, Dayton Rogers, Barney Rogers and Herman Rogers, all of Orange, Tex., and Clifton Rogers of Little Rock; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Petty of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Mary Alice Mosley of Camden; 27 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
