Clara Joyce Barger, age 79 of Searcy, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. She was born October 7, 1939 in Pangburn to Winston P. Lowe and Modean Lowe. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Sonny Barger; one son, Steve Barger and wife Traca of Searcy; three grandchildren, Brittany Theriault and husband Brian of Searcy, Ashton Benton and husband Wesley of Judsonia, Jerad Grizzle and wife Bailey of Los Angeles, California; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Blankenship, Ellie Benton; two sisters, Judy McMillion, Tamie Curtsinger both of Pangburn; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Doris Williams, Linda West; and parents-in-law, Les and Kathleen Barger.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 am at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Harmony Cemetery.
