Rita Jean Heggie, 54, of Searcy passed away Sunday, November 24th at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was born April 2, 1959 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Marlon Ralph Heggie and Mary Grace Holden Heggie.
She was a member of the Harmony Friendship Church of Christ. She was a U.S. Army veteran having served her country during the Desert Storm War. She loved her nieces, nephews and all her family very much.
She is survived by her sister, Linda Gassaway and husband Steve of Searcy, Arkansas.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Marty Heggie.
Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 26th at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27th in the funeral home chapel with burial following at Harmony Cemetery.
