*When Thurman "Sam" Roberson was born on August 5, 1896, in White, Arkansas, his father, Henry, was 43 and his mother, Eliza, was 40. He married Vita Alma Heggie on October 9, 1914, in his hometown. They had three children during their marriage. He died on July 9, 1978, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 81, and was buried in White, Arkansas.
