*When Florence Nelly Sparrow was born on April 17, 1900, in Along, Arunachal Pradesh, India, her father, Brinkley, was 22, and her mother, Lida, was 20. She married James Robert Polk and they had eight children together. She also had one son from another relationship. She died on February 19, 1985, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 84.
