Mattie Lula Wright was born on December 16, 1906, in Mississippi, the daughter of E.. She married Carthel Edwin Dewberry on July 4, 1930. They had four children in 14 years. She died on September 9, 2001, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 94, and was buried in White, Arkansas.
