Loyce Elton Culwell, 80, of Rose Bud, Arkansas went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 23rd at Baptist Health Medical Center.

He was a devoted deacon of Mt. Bethel FWB Church of Rose Bud, Arkansas.

For 60 years he taught Sunday school, and had 27 years working with youth at Camp Beaverfork in Conway, Arkansas. He served his country with 10 years in the National Guard. Loyce retired from Whirlpool in Searcy, Arkansas where he received an award for never missing a day’s work in 34 years. Besides being a devoted husband of 57 years, he loved farming, fishing, and gardening, but he loved his family most of all.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Celeste JoAnn (Pettus) Culwell; three sons, Elton Dee (Pam) Culwell of Rose Bud, Arkansas, Delton Lee (Lois) Culwell of Greenbrier, Tennessee, Alan Layne (Kim) Culwell of Conway, Arkansas; one daughter, Jeannie Ann (Michael) Vinson of Rose Bud, Arkansas; seven grandsons, three granddaughters, six great grandchildren and two on the way.

Preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie and Avril (McGahhey) Culwell; and twin brother Cloys Delton Culwell.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm, Thursday, January 25th at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26th at 10:00am in the Mt. Bethel Free Will Baptist Church with burial following at Bethesda Cemetery in Rose Bud.
