*When Pvt/Dr Thomas Goulding Reid CSA was born on December 21, 1837, in Sumter, South Carolina, his father, William, was 39 and his mother, Margaret, was 23. He married Susan Emma McKay, Reid on February 13, 1870, in White, Arkansas. They had two children during their marriage. He died on July 30, 1876, in White, Arkansas, at the age of 38, and was buried in Rose Bud, Arkansas.
