WINSLOW — Alvin Terry Bishop, 59, of Winslow, a former resident of Klamath Falls, died May 25, 2002, in Fayetteville of long-term effects of diabetes. A memorial service will be held in Winslow following cremation.

Mr. Bishop was born Oct. 3, 1942, in Cordell, Okla., to Alvin and Vernie Bishop.

He attended elementary and high school in Winslow and started his first car sales business in Winslow following school. As a young man, he also lived in California for several years prior to moving to Klamath Falls in 1971, where he worked in retail sales and his car sales business. He moved back to Winslow in 1991 and to adult care in the year 2000 due to blindness caused by diabetes.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, sports and western music. He came from a very musically talented family.

Terry is survived by his son and daughter-in-law; Anthony and Linda Bishop; his grandson, Jordon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jackie and Jeredon Chandler, Wanda and Myron Parrish, Polly and Bob Martin; his former wife, Joanne and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather and nephew, Tommy Martin.

Cremation was by Moore's Chapel with private services.
